Online Master of Education in Reading and Literacy
Benedictine University's online Master of Education in Reading and Literacy is a fully accredited program designed for current and future educators.
Our online Master of Education seeks to nurture an understanding of teachers as researchers who use both formal and informal inquiries to answer both theoretical and practical questions.
Build a Conceptual Framework in Reading and Literacy
As a student enrolled in our 33 credit-hour online Master of Education program you will explore the value of reading, writing and technology as tools for student learning. In addition, you will explore the many facets of performance-based assessment as a primary avenue for understanding complex behavior.
Reading and literacy has become a specialized field and the demand for certified Reading Specialists continues to increase. In our online Master of Education program you will learn how to design an instructional curriculum that develops and assesses a student's literacy capability, regardless of whether the student is a native speaker.
Our Master of Education degree is completed entirely online and will result in the Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree with a Reading Specialist Certificate*.
